Respite Worker Responsibilities May Include

Providing supervision and companionship
Supporting clients with established daily routines
Engaging clients in appropriate recreational activities
Supporting independence and individual choice
Assisting with authorized self-help needs
Maintaining a safe environment
Following the individual's authorized service plan and family instructions
Completing required service documentation
Communicating appropriately with families and supervisors
Protecting client confidentiality, dignity, and rights
